Lamborghini welcomes an accelerated Thai market at 36th Bangkok International Motor Show

Automobili Lamborghini is set to steer the growing Thai market for global-brand supercars into the fast lane when it showcases its models at the 36th Bangkok International Motor Show. The Italian high-end, luxury car manufacturer will be exhibiting at IMPACT Challenger Halls, Muang Thong Thani, from March 25 - April 05, 2015, between 12 pm and 10 pm, with an exclusive VIP day on March 23 and a press day on March 24.

For Niche Cars Co., Ltd., Lamborghini commercial partner in Thailand, this year's presence at the 36th Bangkok International Motor Show is the celebration of a record-breaking year of success for the Italian Brand in 2014, with a global sales increase of 19%. With sales balanced evenly between Asia Pacific, America and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), the USA and Greater China are the biggest markets to date, with Thailand increasing its share year on year. Automobili Lamborghini continues to drive innovation and engineering expertise to the limits, promising a unique driving experience.

With a buoyant market in Asia Pacific, Automobili Lamborghini opened its flagship showroom in Bangkok in late 2014, its biggest space in Asia to date. Collaborating with sole authorized distributor, Niche Cars, for the supercar brand in Thailand, the showroom showcases the Lamborghini Aventador and Huracán.

The World-Class Showroom just outside the main city area, on Motorway Rama 9, marks a successful relationship between Automobili Lamborghini and Niche Cars which began over three decades ago. The Thai supercar and sports car dealer successfully markets Lamborghini in the impressive 15,000 square meter space.

General Manager of Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific, Andrea Baldi, highlights the importance of Lamborghini's continued presence as a luxury car brand in Thailand. "With the support of Niche Cars we are sharing our vision for the future of Lamborghini in Thailand. I am confident that our brand values, pure, innovative and cutting edge, will resonate with our growing network of customers across the country."

Managing Director of Niche Cars, Vittawat 'Champ' Chinabarramee, recently took over the helm; a second-generation leader with a vision to promoting Lamborghini to the growing supercar culture within Thailand. He is optimistic about the continued growth of Lamborghini in Thailand. "Lamborghini is our bestselling supercar. Niche Cars is proud to invest in the biggest and best quality showroom for our customers and their response is encouragingly positive so far."

The 36th Bangkok International Motor Show follows hot on the trail of success showcasing new models in Switzerland. At the 85th International Motor Show in Geneva in March of this year Automobili Lamborghini unveiled the new high performance Aventador SV model and the limited edition Aventador Pirelli celebrating over half a century of creative collaboration with Italian tire company Pirelli, .

The new Aventador SV is the most sports-oriented, fastest and most emotional series production Lamborghini ever. The weight has been further reduced by 50 kg through enhanced lightweight engineering including significant use of carbon fiber. The naturally aspirated V12 engine’s power is increased to 552 kW/750 hp. This results in a power-to-weight-ratio of 2,03 kg/hp. The Superveloce accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds and powers on to reach a top speed of more than 350 km/h (more than 217 mph).

The special series Aventador Pirelli, with its black and white two-tone bodywork, red trim design details and transparent engine cover, is available in a coupe or roadster model with limited numbers being built. The super sports car maintains all Aventador unique technical features, first and foremost the carbon fiber monocoque, the V12 engine with 700 HP, pushrod suspensions and the permanent all-wheel drive, which underlie the Aventador’s global success.
